Khe Sanh Arabica coffee is one of the eight key coffee and tea regions of Vietnam. Let's explore a little bit about this special Vietnamese coffee with iGuide.ai!
Arabica Khe Sanh is not only one of the prominent tea and coffee regions of Vietnam but also a symbol of culture and quality. With the orientation of comprehensive replanting and reforming the industry, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province is promoting the strong development of this brand. Prime Coffee is proud to preserve the core values and bring you the experience of pure, rich coffee.
Khe Sanh, a strategic town in Central Vietnam, located in Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri Province, was the epicenter of the famous battle in 1968. Considered the "second Dien Bien Phu Battle", today Khe Sanh is not only a place to preserve historical memories but also blends with the development of the famous Arabica coffee brand, attracting many tourists to explore.
The origin of the delicious taste of Khe Sanh coffee began in 1926, with the great contribution of Eugène Poilane - a French botanist. The attraction of this red land urged him to bring Chiari coffee trees to plant, creating the first coffee plantation, opening a new page in history for Khe Sanh land.
Known as the pioneer land for tea coffee, Khe Sanh boasts an area of 4,600 hectares spread across communes such as Huong Phung, Huong Linh and Tan Lien. In particular, Huong Phung accounts for 80% of the area with favorable climate conditions and an ideal altitude of 670m, helping to create quality, delicious coffee beans.
The red-fruited Catimor coffee variety has been the dominant variety in Khe Sanh since 1993. Although Robusta was tested, the plant failed to grow due to harsh conditions, especially the dry season of 2015. However, the TN1 variety, a hybrid between Robusta and Typica, has opened up new prospects and is currently being tested at Tan Lam farm, promising great potential for development.
