Tay Vien hot spring, Quang Nam, Vietnam is about 3 km west of My Son Sanctuary. Although it is located west of Le Pass, only about 100 meters from DT611 road, these two hot springs are rarely visited because the only way to get there is along a small, slippery, grassy ditch.
Tay Vien Valley in the central highlands of Quang Nam is nestled in the vast green of rice fields and lush vegetation. Mountains in the distance surround the prosperous village. Tay Vien Hot Spring is a complex of two hot springs with an average temperature of about 85 degrees Celsius.
This place was formed after earthquakes in the ground millions of years ago, causing two clear springs to flow all year round. Locals here call them Ong and Ba springs. Tay Vien hot spring contains many minerals such as calcium, potassium, sulfur, iron... which are very good for health.
According to geological researchers, these two underground hot springs originate from the foot of the deep blue Hon Tau range, with a very large and stable underground water reserve. Dissolved in the water are minerals, calcium, sulfur, iron, potassium… which are very good for human health.
Many locals say that in the hot season, the sky is so blue that you can only see the bottom of the hot water tank covered in white mud, bubbling, steam rising gently from the heat of over 80 degrees Celsius, but in the gloomy, cold winter, the two tanks are always surrounded by a white, magical mist.
Nowadays, Tay Vien villagers can boil eggs and drop them into the bottom of the hot springs to eat. Tourists can go to Tay Vien Hot Spring to soak in the hot water or take mud baths to relax and have medicinal effects.
This is an ideal tourist destination for adventurous travelers when coming to Quang Nam.
