Silk Waterfall, Hoa Phu Commune, Chiem Hoa District, Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam is a waterfall flowing down from Cham Chu Mountain, divided into 3 large levels and following the ravines to some villages of Hoa Phu Commune. The 3 levels of the waterfall look like soft white silk strips standing out against the deep green background of the vast mountains and forests.
Let's join iguide.ai to visit Silk Waterfall, Hoa Phu - This future eco-tourism destination!
The waterfall here is not as noisy and majestic as the waterfalls in other places, but gentle and peaceful, flowing along the mountain ravines, the water is clear, the banks are green trees and boulders, creating a very poetic and romantic scene. From Cham Chu mountain down to the villages of Hoa Phu commune, the waterfall is about 20km long, created by 3 main waterfall levels, the first level is called Tat Cao, the second level is called Tat Voc and the third level is Tat Lua, the rest is a stream of water flowing into some villages in Hoa Phu commune.
Tat Cao flows down from Cham Chu mountain, this is a stream from a narrow ravine so the waterfall is not large in width, the gentle waterfall flows then suddenly falls from the top of the mountain down, looking from afar like a white silk strip about 30m long in height, Tat Cao is about 3km from Tat Lua. Tat Voc is also a waterfall that flows down from Cham Chu mountain parallel to Tat Cao but at a lower altitude than Tat Cao, about 2km from Tat Lua. Tat Voc does not have a strong waterfall like Tat Cao and Tat Lua but flows along the ravines and then merges with Tat Cao.
According to the direction of the waterfall, we can imagine that Tat Cao flows on the right side and Tat Voc flows on the left side. When about 1km from Tat Lua, these two waterfalls merge into one and form Tat Lua. Thus, it can be said that Tat Lua is the combination and harmony between Tat Cao and Tat Voc. Tat Lua is about 20m high and about 5m wide, looking like a silk strip that nature has bestowed on this land. At the foot of Tat Lua, there is a clear and cool pool of water.
If anyone loves adventure, they can explore the mystery of the mountain cave located behind Tat Lua. There are many stories related to the cave at the foot of Thac Lua. The old people in Hoa Phu commune say that: During the time of fighting the Black Flag invaders, inside the mountain cave, there were two jars containing treasures and weapons. On the jar, there was a precious sword that no one was allowed to take because just touching the jar, the mirror would rotate by itself and no one was allowed to touch it. But the story of why there was a sword and what its meaning was, no one remembers exactly and today the sacredness and mystery of that story is passed down by the people here and told to their children and grandchildren. However, there is a story that: in the cave at the foot of the waterfall, there is a white tigress living in the cave. On bright moonlit nights, the tiger turns into a beautiful girl and goes out for a walk. If anyone discovers it, it will immediately turn into a tiger and run into the mountain cave to hide.
The forests, villages, and lands where the Tat Lua River flows through have for generations created a cultural identity of the Tay and Dao people at the foot of Cham Chu Mountain. The Dao people live closely with the mountains and forests, and have both experience in cultivating on the fields and in cultivating terraced fields. In addition to growing rice, the Tay people are also talented in fishing, gathering, and weaving. The skillful hands of Tay women can weave cloth to make clothes, weave unique palm blinds, and weave beautiful and useful household items...
With the available potentials that nature has bestowed, in the future, if given proper attention and investment, Thac Lua will become an attractive cultural and ecological tourist destination, attracting many visitors from all over the world to visit and relax. According to the plan, in 2014, the People's Committee of Chiem Hoa district will propose the Provincial Museum to compile a scientific dossier to recognize Thac Lua, Thac Ca village, Hoa Phu commune as a provincial-level scenic spot.
