Navy hospital (Naval Logistics Dept). The diving-medicine unit serves the south-central coast, Central Highlands and Trường Sa archipelago. Equipped with 1 multiplace chamber (up to 6 patients + a medic inside) and 2 US-made monoplace chambers; has treated many DCS divers from Trường Sa and Khánh Hòa with full recovery. Military-run but treats civilians — confirm availability by phone first.

Civilian national institute — the country's leading maritime/diving-medicine centre and the first in Southeast Asia. Operates modern multiplace hyperbaric chambers (one with ~20 places) and runs underwater-medicine training. Explicitly equipped to treat diving accidents and DCS; received the surviving diver from the 2024 Quảng Trị incident. Northern Vietnam's main referral chamber. The listed number is a general registration hotline — for a DCS emergency go through DAN Asia-Pacific.

Civilian central hospital. Hyperbaric programme running since 2016 with two US-made monoplace chambers (Sechrist + Perry). Documented success treating a diver with decompression sickness and arterial gas embolism (recovered in ~4 days). Monoplace only — suitable for milder/stable cases. Việt Hưng ward, Hạ Long, Quảng Ninh
Civilian provincial hospital serving the Hạ Long Bay / Quảng Ninh coast. Operates a multiplace hyperbaric (Multi-Chamber) oxygen system. Documented success treating a diver with decompression sickness (limb weakness + respiratory distress; markedly improved after 3 days). Useful reference chamber for the far-northern coast.

Joint Vietnam-Russia military-scientific centre; hyperbaric (OXCA) unit established 1994, a pioneer in Vietnam for treating acute and chronic diver's decompression sickness. The main southern-Vietnam referral chamber — the realistic destination for DCS evacuated off Phú Quốc or Côn Đảo (neither island has its own chamber).
